A customers review of the Leki Khumbu Speedlock Trekking Poles
I’ve just returned from a two week backpacking holiday in Scotland using the Leki Khumbu speed lock poles I bought online from you after asking your advice on the phone, I was very impressed.

Being quite a big lad I put quite a lot of pressure through my trekking poles and found the Khumbu speed lock poles more than up to the task while carrying a big pack up and down the Munro’s we visited during our trip.
The Speed Lock adjustment worked really well when adjusting the poles for the long, tiring descents. As you mentioned on your website, they were easy to adjust even when exhausted from a long days walking and while wearing my gloves, they have been totally reliable.

The other feature I really liked was the new handle and strap arrangement, the rounded top section of the Aergon handle provides a really comfortable grip. The last thing I need during a long walking trip is uncomfortable gear and these poles are the most comfortable I’ve ever used. The Khumbu speed lock’s even came in useful during a particularly windy night in the tent on Skye, using the two bottom sections of the poles as storm pegs to hold the tent on the ground!

I would recommend the Khumbu poles to anyone wanting an absolutely dependable trekking pole for British hill walking. Worth every penny and backed up by great service from the ‘Head to the Hills’ staff, thank you.

Leki Khumbu Best in Test
Head to the Hills say The Leki Khumbu speed lock trekking poles have won “Best in Test” in Country Walking magazine for two years in a row (2010 & 2011). They rated this pole “the strongest in any test”.

Ed: The closest to the old Leki Khumbu is now the Leki Softlite poles.
