We are concerned about our impact on the environment and because of this...

ALL our waste cardboard and paper is collected and recycled.

Our waste polythene is mainly reused and what is left is collected and recycled.

ALL our Carrier Bags are BIO-DEGRADEABLE and Our Lighting is low energy.

The factory has 10,600 solar panels producing 1.4 Megawatts of electricity. To give a comparison, this amount of power would service 540 family homes of 4 people. Pete Kelly (Partner) is qualified in mountain leadership, expedition safety and planning, canoeing, sailing and outdoor studies. Pete is also a Nordic Walking fitness coach and trainer.

Andrea Tucker (Partner) 'the brain' behind the operation is a club level fell- runner, keen hiker, occasional skier and cyclist.

We have a wide range of geographical experience from the Munro’s, to base-camping at Everest and hiking the Fairfield Horseshoe.

Adam Gill (Senior Sales Assistant) is climbing mad! But thankfully also does a spot of fell-running. Can often be found anywhere expect working.

Jess Wright (Senior Sales) Jess is an equestrian climber, this is a strange combination of a life-time loving horses and climbing! She's brillianlty organised, efficient and calm, all great assets in a busy little shop.

Phil (Weird) Saunders Phil's a real good egg, a true gent, extremely helpful and patient, so if you want to try on every pair of boots in the shop before purchasing he's your man! Phil joins us on a part-time basis as he's also completing his degree in Outdoor Studies at Ambleside College.
